Why Freelancing?

There are several reasons to start freelancing: It's either you wanted an extra income, or you want time freedom. For me I decided to start freelancing so that I can have more time with my family. My son is growing up so fast and I felt that I am missing a lot , I wanted to be the one who takes him to school, do his assignments with, I want more bonding time with him and it will only be possible if I'm home. Is it easy to be a Freelancer?
